Combine that spirit and raw talent and you?ve got the essence of Nashville?a city running on hope, entertainment and a whole lotta love. The spirit of Nashville will be celebrated at this year?s Ninth Annual Music in the City concert, presented by Nashville Lifestyles magazine and set for the stage at The Tin Roof bar on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

In year?s past, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Josh Kelley and Jessie James (now all household names) performed at Music in the City. Acts taking the stage this year at the CMT-sponsored event include Kelleigh Bannen, Casey James, High Valley, Edens Edge (currently on the road with Rascal Flatts) and Clay Cook of the Zac Brown Band. You can sample music from each performer via Spotify on this playlist.?Tickets are expected to sell out and are available for $20 in advance online. A portion of the proceeds collected will be donated to the W.O. Smith Music School?which offers affordable, quality music instruction to local children from low-income families and is guided by the principle that ?music transforms lives.?
