Fatah: Israel detains Palestinian en route to hospital

GAZA CITY (Ma?an) -- Israeli forces detained a Palestinian man Sunday at the Erez crossing while he was en route to a hospital, Palestinian officials said.

The detainee was identified as Wael al-Tawil who was being held in an Ashkelon prison for investigation.

The party said Israel would be held responsible for the man's fate as he is in need of medical treatment. His family has been informed of the incident, Fatah said.
