? If business travel were cut by 25% for two consecutive years, global GDP would be 5% lower than would otherwise be the case after a five-year period resulting in 30 million fewer jobs than forecast under baseline assumptions for the same period ? an average loss of 1% of global employment.
? Business travel improves corporate productivity yielding a return on investment of 10:1.
? Business travel is integral to international trade and it is estimated that one third of global trade over the past decade has been driven by international business travel.

A special focus on Asia was launched in October 2011. This showed that Business Travel is even more important in terms of driving economic growth in Asia than in other regions of the world.

InterAction seeks a Legislative Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs to facilitate advocacy by our humanitarian working groups. These working groups consist of staff from InterAction member organizations that meet regularly to share information and coordinate work on issues related to refugees and/or internally displaced persons, emergency response, post-conflict reconstruction, recovery, civil-military relations and humanitarian aid reform. This work includes advocacy on U.S. policy toward relevant countries or regions, as well as on aspects of U.S. relationships with the United Nations and other bodies. Working groups active currently include Sudan/South Sudan, the Horn of Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and the Great Lakes region. The position coordinates the advocacy messaging and strategy of the relevant working groups and helps to build and maintain relationships with key Congressional and administration staff.
The Legislative Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs will be part of InterAction?s Public Policy Team, working closely with and reporting to the Senior Director of Public Policy. S/he will also work closely with the Humanitarian Policy and Practice Team to assist and coordinate the working groups? advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities: Specific duties will include:
? Represent InterAction on a range of issues including refugees and/or internally displaced persons, emergency response, post-conflict reconstruction, recovery, civil-military relations and humanitarian aid reform to Congress and the administration; ? Facilitate and build consensus among InterAction members behind an advocacy strategy and common messaging for InterAction?s humanitarian working groups, including writing and editing policy documents, organizing briefings and coordinating sign-on letters, informed by best practices in the field; ? Report to working groups at bi-weekly or monthly meetings on pertinent hearings and legislative developments, including budget, appropriations, authorization bills and other legislation; ? Track and analyze legislation and other congressional activities related to working group interest; ? Track pertinent policy developments related to working group interests; stay abreast of developments in the field; ? Establish and maintain relationships with working group participants; respond to informational inquiries from InterAction members; ? Build and maintain relationships with members of the administration, Congress, and strategic partners; ? Coordinate congressional relationships and advocacy efforts with the rest of the Public Policy Unit, while liaising closely with the Humanitarian Policy and Practice Unit; ? 'American Idol' Contender Heejun Han Calls Performance A 'Turning Point'

'There were so many people that still believed in me and supported me, that's when I realized I really want to do this,' Han says.

LOS ANGELES — The "American Idol" top nine took the stage once again Wednesday night hoping to avoid yet another elimination by singing their hearts out ... and did they ever. Taking on songs by their own personal idols, the two-hour broadcast was filled with tearful moments, five standing ovations and, in Mr. Randy "In It to Win It" Jackson's words, strong contenders for the title.

Heejun Han may have made the biggest surprise comeback after being blasted last week by Jimmy Iovine and Steven Tyler for not taking the show seriously. Not to mention his leaving half of America scratching their heads as to why he was still in the competition after his goofball antics. This week it was obvious Han had a wake-up call as he took to the stage with a sincere rendition of Donny Hathaway's "A Song for You," ultimately bringing the judges to their feet.

"What I can tell you at this point," Han explained backstage after the show, "is that when someone doesn't believe in himself and at that point someone said, 'You don't belong here. I'm not going to sign you. You're not going to win,' then my automatic reaction has to be 'I know. I don't want this.' I never actually believed in myself anymore and even before. But from last week there were so many people that still believed in me and supported me, that's when I realized I really want to do this. I'm not going to let anyone down anymore and that was a turning point."

And speaking of turning points, let's not forget "Idol" contestant DeAndre Brackensick, who was also one of the five performers to get a standing ovation from the judges after being in last week's bottom three. Taking on Eric Benet's "Sometimes I Cry," Brackensick even had J.Lo begging the audience to pick up their phones and vote.

So, with some finalists back on the "Idol" radar while other's outshined their own performances from the week before, who will America vote for to stay in the competition? Will this be yet another shocking results week, bringing the final nine down to eight, or will the judges finally be forced to use their one and only save for this week's stellar performances?

"No matter who is in the bottom three tomorrow [Thursday] night, they are going to be shockers because there were five standing ovations," Colton Dixon, who sang himself to tears opening the show with Lifehouse's "Everything," explained. "Tonight was a great night for 'American Idol.' It was for every single one of us. We all left everything we had on the table and on the stage."

"I definitely think [Thursday] night will be shocking," added Joshua Ledet, who brought the house down once again singing Mariah Carey's version of "Without You." "Honestly, I think everyone was so great tonight that the judges might use their save tomorrow because it would be crazy if they didn't."

"It's gonna be hard for us because, you know, when you get a standing ovation, it doesn't necessarily mean you are gonna go pass through," Han said. "It's not really a matter of who's on bottom three, but it's really a matter of who's going home and who's gonna stay. At this point, I'm really happy with what I did, and if I were to go home, then this is the happiest moment where I can go."

They look great, but what I?m about to tell you, might influence your decision when thinking about installing one of them in your bathroom.

I have installed quite a few of these acrylic bath and shower panels over my years of bathroom remodeling and I have seen others install them. Most of these products are made from plastic or acrylic materials and some of them are even made from wood.

I don?t ever recommend installing wood-based products, in areas like your bathtub or shower surround. Areas that get a lot of water on a regular basis, could cause these wood-based products to start expanding and disintegrating.

I haven?t had good luck installing some of these acrylic, plastic or wood-based product tub and shower surrounds.

It could actually be the installer and I would be willing to accept all of the blame, if that was actually the case. I have installed these products, following the directions and ignoring them, with similar results.

I have installed the cheaper bath tub and shower surrounds and I?ve installed the expensive ones. Some of the more expensive ones, seemed to be made with thicker plastic and seemed to be a little more durable than the bath tub and shower surrounds that are made from thinner plastic.

The only advice that I can give you, when choosing one of them, would be to buy the more durable bath tub or shower surround system. These will usually be made from thicker plastic or acrylic-based materials.

Make sure that you read the manufacturers recommended cleaning procedure and maintain this product regularly.

Sometimes when removing the old plastic bath and shower surrounds, I find mold and mildew underneath them.
