The FINANCIAL CONTROLLER is responsible to oversee the book-keeping, accounting and financial reporting of AMS. The FINANCIAL CONTROLLER monitors and implements internal financial controls throughout all divisions/departments of AMS to ensure maximum profitability.

Responsibilities:

? Prepares financial reports, budgets, cost reports and financial forecasts on a regular basis.
? Ensures that every expense is properly documented and that the financial reports and records are accurate.
? Ensures that the books of accounts are compiled in a timely and accurate manner.
? Ensures that there is a fiscal responsibility within all departments/divisions.
? Ensures that Senior Managers in AMS understand the financial implications of the missions they set for the company.
? Determines the level of profitability of each division/department and liaises with the Group Financial Controller on the outcome.
? Provides financial support to divisions and projects, which includes working in close collaboration of local financial teams in areas such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Liberia.
? Mentors and supports Chief and Finance Accountants for purpose of ensuring that their accounting and analysis duties are done accurately.
? Manages and controls the financial operations of the various divisions and departments in AMS to ensure compliance to high international accounting standards, company policies and protocol and contractual requirements.

Skills

? A qualification (degree) from a recognized institution is required with a major in one of the following subjects: Financial Auditing, Internal Auditing and/or Accounting.
? The ideal candidate must have at least 5-10 years experience as a Financial Controller or Auditor.
? Must be familiar with International Accounting Standards
? With Excellent English communication skills.
? High computer literacy is required
? Candidates must be willing to work and travel in post-conflict countries.
